HULL, Mass.—They're cute, they have amazing moves, and women swoon over them -- they're also furry.
The Hull Seaside Animal Rescue shelter has released its fifth annual Kittendales calendar, each month featuring a cat from the shelter being held by a muscular man.
Susan Davis, the calendar's production coordinator who came up with the idea, tells The Patriot Ledger ( http://bit.ly/pI8R1O) the name is a takeoff on the famed Chippendales male dancers.
The calendar is a major fundraiser for the nonprofit and every penny raised goes to the shelter.
During the past five years, the men in the calendar have included a physician, actor, dentist, teacher, pilot, construction workers, firefighters and personal trainers. More than 75 cats have also been featured.
The shelter in the past has sold calendars to overseas customers.
