FALMOUTH
A 10-year-old boy from Falmouth was hospitalized Monday after he was burned by an unknown substance, officials said. Falmouth Hospital staff asked for police help in locating the boy’s discarded clothing containing the unknown substance, in order to help treat him. Officers found his discarded clothes and a soda bottle containing a liquid suspected of causing the burn off Sandwich Road in East Falmouth, the statement said. His clothing was taken to the hospital for examination and the Fire Department took over the scene to recover the unknown substance, police said.![]()
