A woman who jumped into the Charles River from the Massachusetts Avenue bridge Thursday has been identified as a 21-year-old Dorchester woman, but her name is not being released, according to a statement yesterday from Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office. The statement said a positive identification was made Friday after several individuals, who recognized her clothing and appearance as described in media reports, contacted authorities. Police recovered the body shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday after a jogger witnessed the woman jump and called police.
