Sudbury terrorism suspect’s trial to begin
Mehanna’s trial begins on Oct. 24, and Boston has not seen a terrorism case like this before, one in which a man charged with the ugliest of crimes has nonetheless managed to build support in claiming that his opposition to US foreign policy, his alleged call for the death of US troops, was controversial but free speech protected by his First Amendment rights as an American citizen.
