BOSTON—Massachusetts State Police say two New Hampshire women are dead after their pickup truck went out of control and flipped onto its roof on Interstate 91 in Northampton.

The accident just before 3 a.m. Friday was one of dozens reported on Massachusetts roads during a morning of freezing rain, slushy snow and sleet.

The crash remains under investigation and speed and slippery road conditions are considered possible contributing factors.

Police say the victims were 49 and 66 years old, but their names were not disclosed.

More accidents were reported, but no other fatalities or serious injuries. A truck rollover was reported on Route 1 north in Foxborough near Gillette Stadium. The ramp from Route 110 to Interstate 95 south in Amesbury was closed because of two rollovers.
