Bright moon, faint stars - our dynamic eyes see them at once

The gibbous moon shines high and bright this evening, and way off to its left, Jupiter shines as bright as you’ll ever see it. Watch the moon step closer to Jupiter for the next few nights as the moon enlarges and brightens. They’ll blaze near each other when the moon is full on Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s no coincidence that the full moon, and Jupiter when it’s brightest, shine together. Both are near the spot in the sky directly opposite the sun.
