You could probably never prove that DJ Rudolph would not be standing charged with murdering his mother, sister and his mother’s boyfriend if the state had not gutted its services for the mentally ill. But the idea that we can cut and cut and cut what we spend on treating the mentally ill without consequences is nonsense.
