The Pilgrim diet
The 1621 harvest feast in Plymouth
included these food items for certain:
deer and fowl (such as wild turkeys,
ducks, geese, or swans).
The Pilgrims were also known to eat:
corn
lobster
fish
eel
mussels
grapes
strawberries
gooseberries
nuts
plums
parsnips
collards
carrots
parsley
turnips
spinach
cabbages
sage
thyme
marjoram
onions
blueberries
cranberries
pumpkins
