BURLINGTON, Vt.—The University of Vermont remains winless in Hockey East after 4-1 loss to visiting Northeastern on the Catamounts' home ice.
Northeastern's two goals in the second period Saturday were all the Huskies needed to surpass the Catamounts, who are 1-7-1 overall and 0-6-1 in league play. Northeastern improves to 3-7-2 overall and Hockey East.
Northeastern's two goals came within 3 1/2 minutes near the end of the second frame.
The Catamounts will host the University of Massachusetts in Burlington on Tuesday.
