A Haverhill man tried to punch Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo at a Lowell nightclub early Saturday, police said yesterday. Eric Valarezo, 31, was arrested for disorderly conduct at Brian’s Ivy Hall at about 1:43 a.m. Saturday, Lowell Police said. Rondo appeared at the club for “promotional purposes,’’ and Valarezo allegedly tried to punch the NBA star while he and several other patrons exited the building on Merrimack Street. No injuries were reported.
