Murphy vows to fight bid to oust him
Denies disloyalty to House speaker
House majority whip Charles A. Murphy denied yesterday that he has been disloyal to House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo, and said he will not go quietly if DeLeo decides to remove him from his leadership post. In a letter distributed to his colleagues yesterday, Murphy explained his side of the ongoing feud with the speaker. “Despite what the senior legislative sources are sharing with reporters, I am not on a campaign to undercut Bob DeLeo in any manner,’’ he told the lawmakers.
