Boston police said the death of a woman found dead at her Mattapan apartment would be investigated by the homicide unit. The woman’s son was found unharmed in the apartment.

A woman in her 30s was found dead inside a Mattapan apartment yesterday afternoon, with her 1-year-old son, who was unharmed, authorities said. Homicide detectives are investigating the woman’s death, which police believe is suspicious.
