Actor B.J. Novak returned to his alma mater Newton South High School last night to discuss acting, writing, and his multiple roles on the set of the hit TV comedy “The Office.’’ The sold-out event drew about 400 fans to raise money for the high school and its Southside program. He showed a rough cut of a scene for an upcoming episode of “The Office’’ that he had on his laptop before opening the floor to questions from the audience.
