RANDOLPH, Mass.—Authorities say an elderly man and woman have died after an overnight house fire in a Boston suburb.
Massachusetts State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan says the two people were trapped amid heavy smoke inside the home in Randolph early Sunday, and that both were in cardiac arrest when firefighters reached them.
Coan said they died at area hospitals. Their identities were not immediately released Sunday.
The fire's cause remained under investigation later Sunday, but WCVB-TV 5 of Boston reports ( http://bit.ly/uxmLKB) that authorities say early indications suggest it might have been accidental.![]()
