Mehanna witness describes meeting

A former close friend of Sudbury terror suspect Tarek Mehanna testified today that Mehanna was excited when they set out for Yemen in hopes of undergoing terrorism training in 2004. ”We’re actually doing it. We’re finally doing it,” Abuzahra said, quoting Mehanna, in Mehanna’s trial in US District Court in Boston. “We had talked for several years about jihad but we were on our way. ... The purpose of the trip was to go to a war.”
