No bail for pair in online car scam
Scheme netted $1m, officials say
An online vehicle sales scam has two Hungarian nationals behind bars without bail on larceny charges after the suspects’ arraignment yesterday, said Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley. The two suspects are alleged to have racked up over a million dollars within the past month, said Steve Blair, a detective for the Boston Police Special Investigations Unit. Zsolt Lendvai, 25, and Eniko Somodi, 29, were arrested Tuesday after Lendvai was identified by a Sovereign Bank employee in Kenmore Square.
