Occupiers get winter tent past the police

Police officers in recent weeks have prevented protesters from bringing winterization supplies - cold-weather tents and plywood for insulation - into the encampment. But one of those tents apparently found its way into Dewey Square - and it’s causing a stir in the police department, two law enforcement officials said. The military-style green tent, several times as large as most tents in the square, appeared more than a week ago and is now being used for food storage and preparation.
