What would you do if you were Kelly Orlando? On a June night in 2008, she was house-sitting for an aunt in Marshfield. Around 12:30 am, she was wrenched awake by ear-splitting screams on the street. She called the police, but the chaos outside seemed to be escalating fast. If Orlando had known what she would find on Careswell Street that night, and how much it would cost her, she might have stayed put. She ran outside.
