A 63-year-old woman was killed while loading doughnuts into her car for her church’s morning services after being struck by a drunken driver. Karen LaPierre, was a frequent Sunday customer at Heav’nly Donuts on 55 South Main St., an employee said. The driver is being charged with motor vehicle homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol, and negligent driving, police said.
