UMass to review Wilson pay pact
Panel will examine terms and process
The University of Massachusetts is launching a review of an agreement that allows former president Jack Wilson to continue drawing his presidential salary while on a year-long sabbatical and then, as a professor, earn nearly triple the salary of most senior faculty members. The Globe reported last week that when Wilson, who left the presidency in June, moves into a teaching position next year his salary could reach $316,784, an average of the salaries of the provosts at the five UMass campuses.
