Homeowners will pay slightly more in property taxes in fiscal 2012, the city announced today. The residential rate will rise from $12.79 per thousand dollars of valuation in fiscal 2011 to $13.04, the mayor’s office said in a statement. That amounts to an increase of about 2 percent. The rate for business properties will also go up - from $31.04 per thousand to $31.92 - an increase of about 2.8 percent.
