BARNSTABLE, Mass.—Massachusetts authorities might have trouble bringing one man on the state Probation Department's 10 most wanted list to justice-- he's been dead for nearly a decade.

State police found out this week that Robert Sieracki, whose last known address was in the Osterville section of Barnstable, died in Mexico in November 2002.

A state police spokesman tells the Cape Cod Times (http://bit.ly/sdHcdh) the department learned from his sister that he was dead. The death was confirmed with an Ohio funeral home.

Sieracki, who would have been in his early 70s, was wanted for indecent assault and battery on a child charges.

Authorities say the death was apparently from natural causes and because it wasn't reported to the Social Security Administration, state officials never knew about it.
