Man arrested driving vehicle with 3 tires
PLAISTOW, N.H.—Police say a Massachusetts man was charged with drunken driving after he drove past a police cruiser in a vehicle with just three tires.
Police in Plaistow, N.H., say they were working at a traffic stop early Sunday morning when they heard a loud noise and then saw the vehicle.
As the vehicle passed by slowly, an officer said he noticed that it was missing a rear tire and traveling on its rim.
Police pulled the vehicle over and said they realized that the driver was possibly under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
WMUR-TV (http://bit.ly/xgIY6A) reports 22-year-old Barry Short of Amesbury, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated.
Police say Short didn't know when the tire had fallen off or how long he had been riding on the rim.
