BREWSTER, Mass.—Officials say the two men killed in a small plane crash off Cape Cod were a flight instructor and his student.

The Cape Cod Times reports ( http://bit.ly/xuS2BE) that Brewster police didn't release the identities of the men found Sunday in Brewster. But they said one victim was 73-years-old and the other was 68-years-old.

Martha's Vineyard Airport manager Sean Flynn told the paper that the older man was an instructor and Edgartown resident. He said the younger man was from Falmouth and had his license, but was training for advanced certification.

Police said firefighters found one body on the beach. The other body was later spotted in the water by a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter.

The paper said emergency crews were seen Sunday on the beach picking up wreckage, including plane parts and personal items.
