Police hope to have news blog back up soon
Informative site was hacked Friday
The Boston police department said yesterday that it hopes to restore its Internet news blog soon, possibly today, and that it is continuing a criminal investigation into the hacking of the site, as well as other instances of tampering with department sites. The department has been working with the site developers to increase security, and investigators are also working closely with federal authorities to determine how the hacking occurred.
