Hikaru Yonezaki, a 16-year-old violinist, posted her position about the dismissal of director Benjamin Zander last month on Facebook. “We cannot go on under such circumstances,’’ wrote the co-concert mistress of New England Conservatory’s Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. In a phone interview Yonezaki confirmed that she has proposed to her colleagues in the 115-member YPO that they refuse to play until Zander is reinstated. NEC respondedl: If you refuse to pick up your instrument, we’ll replace you.
