KINGSTON, Mass.—Authorities say four high school juniors riding in the same car have been injured in a head-on crash with a school bus in Kingston.

At least three of the students from Silver Lake Regional High School were flown to Boston hospitals after the crash at about 7:30 a.m. Friday with what were described as life-threatening injuries. Three of the vehicle's occupants were girls and one was a boy. Police say a girl was driving.

No names were released.

Police say the driver was the only occupant of the school bus. The female bus driver was taken to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.

Television news video showed that the car appeared to have veered into the bus's lane on the two-lane road.

Children from Kingston, Plympton and Halifax attend the school.
