Plymouth is to receive $1,479,004 in Chapter 90 funds from the state this year to repair roads and bridges. The figures were announced April 12 by Senate President Therese Murray, who said the overall bill provides $200 million in Chapter 90 funds for the state. “Keeping our roads and bridges in working order is essential for the health and safety of residents and for our local economy,’’ the Plymouth Democrat said in a press release. “These funds will serve as another boost to the construction and maintenance of municipal roads and bridges.’’ Among nearby communities, Pembroke will get $546,406; Kingston will get $423,099; and Plympton will receive $161,318. - Emily Sweeney
