Mass. judges to discuss domestic abuse

GREENFIELD, Mass.—A panel of judges in western Massachusetts will participate in a panel discussion on domestic abuse and restraining orders.

"Domestic Violence: A View from the Bench" is scheduled for Thursday at the Franklin County Courthouse in Greenfield.

The event will be moderated by Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan and is sponsored by the DA's Task Force on Domestic and Sexual Violence and the Franklin County Bar Association.

Panelists will include: Judge William Mazanec III, the first justice of Greenfield District Court: Judge Laurie MacLeod, associate justice, District Court; and Judge Geoffrey Wilson, first justice of Franklin Probate and Family Court.
