Dem. US Sen. hopeful Warren agrees to third debate
BOSTON—Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren has accepted an invitation to a third televised debate in the state's closely-watched U.S. Senate race.
Warren agreed Thursday to a debate sponsored by a consortium of Boston media outlets including The Boston Globe and local television and radio stations.
Warren and incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown have already accepted invitations to two other television debates -- one sponsored by a Springfield media consortium, and the other by Boston's WBZ-TV.
Warren said she'll participate in four televised debates representing various geographic regions of the state.
Brown has said he wants three or four debates, and accepted two on Boston talk-radio shows on WBZ-AM and WTKK-FM. Warren hasn't agreed to those.
The candidates have sparred over debate plans since Warren won her party's state convention endorsement.![]()
