Prosecutors are seeking a 10-year sentence for Catherine Greig, longtime girlfriend of gangster James ‘Whitey’ Bulger. |
The attorney for Catherine Greig has argued that she should serve no more than 27 months in prison for helping James “Whitey’’ Bulger stay on the run for 16 years, saying her only fault was falling in love with the notorious gangster, and that she should not be punished for his crimes. Attorney Kevin Reddington also argued that the families of Bulger’s alleged victims should be prohibited from providing statements during Greig’s sentencing hearing Tuesday in US District Court.
