GREENFIELD, Mass.—Songs are being solicited about Tropical Storm Irene to benefit a cleanup of a waterway and to give voice to the storm's impact.

The Goodnight Irene concert will benefit the Connecticut River Watershed Council's annual Source to Sea Cleanup, where volunteers will pull trash from the Connecticut River Watershed on Sept. 29.

The songs will be performed at a concert at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass., on the storm's anniversary, on Aug. 28.

They will be performed by duo Pat and Tex LaMountain, who lost part of their retreat in Hawley, Mass., in the storm, which wreaked havoc across Vermont and western Massachusetts.

The deadline to submit songs is June 21 and requires a $10 processing fee. Guidelines are available on the council's website at http://www.ctriver.org.
