Littleton baby who fell in pond dies

LITTLETON, Mass.—Authorities say a 10-month-old Littleton boy who fell into a small pond in the family home's back yard has died.
A spokeswoman for the Middlesex district attorney's office says the boy died at a Boston hospital on Tuesday.
His name has been made public.
The boy was found in the small fish pond by his mother Sunday about 7 a.m. He was taken to Emerson Hospital in Concord and then air-lifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
The death remains under investigation but the spokeswoman tells The Sun of Lowell ( http://bit.ly/M7O5Zt) it appears to be an accident.
