BOSTON—A 49-year-old man has been stabbed after he refused to hand over his money and telephone to a robber.

Police say the victim was sitting on logs feeding the ducks and listening to music at Longwood Avenue and the Riverway around 12:20 p.m. Sunday when a man accosted him demanding his money and iPhone. When he refused, the man stabbed him with a small knife.

The Boston Globe reports ( http://bo.st/NKvPrm) that the victim is being treated at a hospital for a slash to his chest and three wounds on his left leg.

No arrests have been made.
