Dorchester man arrested in California, charged in killing of pedestrian with car

About 3,000 miles from the crime scene and more than three months after the incident, Boston police arrested a man believed to have run down another man in Dorchester with his car. Antwan Wathey, 24, was arrested in Tarzana, Calif., on July 26 and charged with running over James Taylor with his 2000 Mazda sedan on April 13, Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Mike Callahan said. Judge Robert Baylor granted Callahan’s request that Wathey be held without bail pending a probable cause hearing.
