Framingham murder trial scheduled to start
WOBURN, Mass.—The trial of a Marlborough man accused of luring his friend to a state park in Framingham where he fatally shot him is scheduled to start next week.
Authorities say the murder trial of 20-year-old Marquise Brown is scheduled to start with jury selection in Middlesex Superior Court on Wednesday.
Brown is accused of telling 17-year-old Tyriffe Lewis of Marlborough in June 2009 that they were going to Callahan State Park to smoke marijuana. Prosecutors say the killing was in retaliation for a fistfight the pair had had at a party the day before in dispute over drugs.
Brown allegedly accused Lewis of stealing his marijuana, the two fought, and Brown lost.
A second man accused of playing a role in the killing faces trial at a later date.![]()
