The Zoning Board of Appeals stands by a recent decision of the building commissioner, who ruled that the permitting process for four industrial wind turbines spinning off Route 3 was properly done. An attorney representing a group of abutters had asked the town’s building commissioner to shut down the turbines and start a new review process that would involve input from the public. The building inspector denied the request. That denial was appealed by the attorney to the Zoning Board of Appeals. The only recourse now available to the abutters is to file an appeal in court.
