BOSTON—Boston police say they've shot and killed someone who ran from a vehicle they had tried to stop and then refused to drop a gun pointed at them.
Police say plainclothes officers tried to stop the vehicle Tuesday evening in the South End. They say the suspect fled and they chased him.
Police say the officers caught up with the suspect, who pointed a gun at them and ignored their commands to drop it. They say one of the officers fired his gun, striking the suspect in the chest.
The suspect was pronounced dead at a hospital.![]()
