Elizabeth Goldsmith, author of “The Kings’ Mistresses,” will speak at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. The book outlines the scandalous lives of the Mancini sisters, Marie and Hortense, and the role of women in 17th-century France. The evening’s activities include a reading and book signing, with books available for purchase. The library is located at 35 Ripley Road, and more information is available by calling 781-383-1348.
