High school needs interim principal
Tyngsborough High School is in need of an interim principal now that Michael Flanagan has left the position to become the town’s assistant superintendent of schools. Flanagan had been principal since 2010, and also has been a part-time principal at the middle school. Superintendent Don Ciampa said that all of the district’s principals supported the choice of Flanagan, who was unanimously promoted by the School Committee. He already has several projects on his plate, including adjustments to the elementary school curriculum and possible renovations at the middle school. Mary Alise Herrera was hired prior to the start of the school year as a full-time principal at the middle school.
