Youth survey shows pattern of drug use

Results from the 2011 Massachusetts Youth Health Survey and the Massachusetts Youth Risk Behavior survey of high school students.*

40% reported drinking every month 22% binge drink (five or more drinks within two hours) 6% report nonmedical use of a prescription 28% use marijuana 5% use inhalants 30% use a drug 4% use alcohol during school 6% use marijuana during school 27% report being offered, sold, or given an illegal drug on school property in the previous 12 months.
