Several people injured in Lowell drive-by shooting
LOWELL, Mass.—Police say four people were shot in a late-night drive-by shooting in Lowell, but none of the injuries is considered life-threatening.
Officers responded to Smith Street at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday to find two men and two women suffering from injuries. The victims were taken to Lowell General Hospital.
Their names were not released.
Witnesses say up to ten shots were fired from a passing vehicle.
One of the victims who has already been released from the hospital told The Sun of Lowell ( http://bit.ly/PWu7l9) on Monday that he has no idea why the group was targeted. He says seven people were relaxing on the front porch when someone opened fire from a passing car.
