Acia Johnson, 14, and her sister, Sophia, 3, died in a fire that police say their mother's lover set deliberately at their South Boston row house on April 6. In many ways, the fire was also the culmination of years of alleged abuse that others could have prevented and that Acia, try as she might, could not overcome.
