10 years after plane crash death, a look back at JFK Jr.
President Kennedy was a Navy veteran and an avid sailor. In 1962, Kennedy ironically foreshadowed his son's death.
"We all came from the sea," he said. "We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch it, we are going back from whence we came."
In July 1999, Kennedy's ashes were dropped into the sea near where their plane crashed.
Father and son played in a boat in Newport, R.I. in September 1963.
