After 37 years, multiple owners, and countless scoops of ice cream served, the last Brigham’s franchise store in Boston, a popular spot on High Street, is closing this week.

Although Brigham's still has locations in the surrounding suburbs, the ice cream franchise, once as ubiquitous as Dunkin’ Donuts, has served its last scoop in the Hub.
After 37 years, multiple owners, and countless scoops of ice cream served, the last Brigham’s franchise store in Boston is closing this week. The Brigham's on High Street remained popular through the decades and its share of regulars. The local chain, once as ubiquitous as Dunkin’ Donuts, had more than 100 restaurants and seemed to serve its signature sundaes on every other city corner. Although Brigham's still has locations in the surrounding suburbs, its days in Boston are over.
