Boston Police motion picture liaison Sgt. Michael O'Connor has been rubbing elbows with stars since filmmakers began flocking to Massachusetts.

At left, O'Connor escorted William H. Macy across Summer Street during a break in filming "The Lonely Maiden."

"Nice guy," O'Connor said of Macy. "Very unassuming."
