Her real name is Idene Wilkerson, but in her tiny neighborhood near Upham’s Corner, she is known to everyone as Ma Siss, and in a onetime chopshop she and her friends have founded a small evangelical congregation, the Quincy Street Missional Church, and a thrift shop/food pantry, Ma Siss’s Place.
