Concerned about its future, the congregation of the Quincy Street Missional Church in recent years turned its attention to its children.

In the spring of 2006, pastor Aaron Graham baptized five kids, including Dedric Dew, age 8, as Destanie Baker, 7, and Nadaje Hendrix, 8, look on. The baptism took place at the International Community Church in Allston because the Quincy Street congregation, worshiping in a converted garage, has no baptismal font.
