Worshipers had long wanted to hang a picture of their pastor in the church – a practice in many black congregations – but the pastor, Aaron Graham, had demurred.

Despite that, at the third anniversary service, congregant Pat Taylor gave pastor Aaron Graham a framed picture of himself, as Ma Siss and Ma Fann (Pat’s mother) looked on. The picture still hangs in the church.
