This firefighter was conscious as he was carried out on a stretcher from the scene. WCVB-TV Channel 5 reported that the firefighter fell through two floors.
A witness at the scene also said he saw two people being loaded into an ambulance, one of whom appeared to be a teenager with a hand burn. Channel 5 reported that they were a mother and son, which could not immediately be confirmed.
